JP Dwivedi is a senior IT leader with over 29 years of experience in the industry. He is the CIO of Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute & Research Centre (RGCI & RC), Delhi since 2011. After completing his MCA from MNNIT Allahabad in 1988, he initially worked in public sector organizations in Telecom and Railways sector for 8 years. He subsequently joined Perot Systems (later acquired by Dell) in 1996 and held several positions in this organization for about 15 years before taking up his current position at RGCI & RC.
Mr. Dwivedi specializes in IT Service Transformation, preparing IT Service Strategy and drawing roadmaps for successful execution. He has several large-scale success stories to his credit. These include leading technology implementation and adoption as well as leading software development projects from specifying the requirements to final rollout. He has successfully managed several system re-engineering projects, which transformed disparate legacy applications into integrated application suites, built using state-of-the-art technology.
He has received several prestigious awards including ‘Innovation Hero’ and ‘Healthcare Hero’ from Dynamic CIO Forum and ‘Healthcare Transformation Leader’ award from CeBIT. Under his leadership, Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute has been chosen as one of the ’21 Jewels of Digital’ by Core Quadrant and Dynamic CIO Forum in 2015. He is part of CIO Power list 2017 and 2018 published in Core Media. He is passionate about improving outcome and quality of healthcare delivery as well as improving patient experience.
